Following the limited run the Foo Fighters new doco Back And Forth got across Aussie cinemas last weekend comes news that you'll be able to purchase the new Fooies doco from June 14.
And according to www.gibson.com the film will include 35 minutes of bonus footage and deleted scenes. Awesome.
As you can see in the official trailer above, Back And Forth, a 100-minute feature length doco directed by James Moll, is a must for all Fooies and Nirvana fans with the film covering the band's 16-year journey from Dave Grohl and Pat Smear surviving Nirvana to the Foo Fighters rise as stadium superstars.
But it also tackles some prickly inter-band politics as well. Ex-band members, guitarist Franz Stahl and drummer William Goldsmith, both of whom were sacked from the band, reveal their true feelings toward Dave. And as we found out at the world premiere in Texas earlier this year both didn't want anything to do with the film but eventually agreed to be interviewed.
Fans on our Rock News Facebook page have seen the film and given it a resounding thumbs up. Jen Bryant said "saw this on Sun night - Un-freaking-real!!! BUY IT!!", while Sandy 'Benn' Kendall said, "it was awesome... a very well told story. Dave took us on a journey of his life - from the early Nirvana days to now. Loved it."
Indeed, the doco gives you a new appreciation of all the s**t the Fooies have been through to get to where they are today. Plus, the soundtrack is kick-ass.
The Foo Fighters Back And Forth will be available on iTunes from June 10 and DVD and Blu-ray on June 14.
